The meat produced from a pure bred Oxford Down is fantastic, lean and full of flavour.
My January born lambs went off at the beginning of May direct to the abbatoir.
They were an average of 21kg butchered weight and were lovely and lean. They received no additional food just grass.
All my lamb is marketed and sold direct to the customer as half or whole boxes.
Feed back from both the butcher and consumer have been very encouraging.
The butcher commented that they were the best lambs he had butchered so far this year and they had plenty of meat on them. My favourite response from him was "You've done a bloody good job!"
